| Description |
Job Summary and Mission::
As a Corporate Employee Financial Services Regional Sales Manager, you support new business development sales functions and project initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- develop new business opportunities from various delivery channels (RFP's, CESG, Consultancies, Investment Banking, NASPP, etc.) and cross selling opportunities for existing clients
- establish and maintain new business development relationships from the initial contact, through the LOI or contract execution
- manage the RFP process, pricing, coordination of the Letters of Intent, and ongoing communications between operating departments within CEFS (Marketing, Implementation, Legal, Product Development, and Client Care)
- work in close coordination with dedicated branch lead financial advisors and other CEFS Sales Managers
- This position will require approx. 40% travel (West Coast concentration)

| Requirements |
- college degree with a minimum of 8 years of sales experience complimented by experience with financial products and services and the ability to communicate with clients (internal and external)
- knowledge of financial services; equity compensation market place, including the latest SEC, IRS, Accounting and Congressional rules regarding Stock Options, Employee Stock Purchase Programs, Restricted Stock Programs, Performance Unit Programs, Stock Appreciation Rights, Deferred Compensation, and Corporate 10b5-1 programs are desired but not required
- able to work autonomously with good judgment, decision making, and risk management skills
- MS Office Suite skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- CEP certification preferred

| Position Objective: |
The incumbent is responsible for maximizing profitable sales of Kaplan Companies
through sound business development strategies that sustain and enhance our customer base.

| Principal Accountabilities: |
The incumbent is responsible for preparing a territory specific business plan to meet the projected revenue within the region. 4Responsible for researching and monitoring potential funding form agencies, government, etc. to capitalize on business growth.
Responsible for managing account expenditures within company guidelines, i.e. customer discounts, freight allowances and travel and entertainment.
Responsible for attaining pre-determined territory sales goals.
The incumbent will travel throughout the assigned territory to contact existing and prospective customers and conduct product presentations and workshops. Travel requirement are dictated by the respective territory and could include up to 50% business travel on a regular basis.
Client meetings will involve product demonstrations utilizing samples and catalogs.
Will serve as key representative at national, regional tradeshows and conferences to market Kaplan products and services. An average of ten or more trade shows/conference transpire annually requiring weekend participation.
Responsible for attending annual regional and national Kaplan sales conferences.
The incumbent will maintain a thorough working knowledge for our systems, products and must develop an understanding of industry terms.
The incumbent will prepare sales contracts, quoting product pricing and credit terms. Corporate Customer Service Centers will provide support to the Sales Representative.
Responsible for generating favorable consumer and trade publicity through contacts within the trade.
The incumbent is responsible for standard reporting as required by the Regional Sales Manager, i.e. marketing plans, travel expenses, etc. to include evening sales telephone conferences as needed.

| Education/Experience: |
Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a proven successful sales track record with excellent negotiation,
communication and relationship building skills. 2-3 years outside business-to-business
sales background required, experience in early childhood /elementary sales a plus.
Must be a self-starter, with strong initiative, working independently without supervision.
Incumbent must be customer service oriented with basic computer skills.
Requires strong analytical and quantitative abilities. Must be able to travel
including weekends per job requirements; position requires a valid driver's license,
valid motor vehicle insurance and dependable transportation to transport business
products/marketing material. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to secure
credit card for business purposes is a position requirement.
